Moon bride

Muted on a beautiful tide

The crescent moon bowed

Offered to be my bride.

I humbly accepted the prize

I moved on with my gaze

Took the moon by the hand

And showed her my ways.

She looked on in awe

With wonder filled eyes

A silky gasp was her breath

And her thoughts were so wise.

We danced in her light

The morning it rose

My love did then vanish

And I must quietly repose.

Await her twilight return.
