Senses

We talked to each other

out the corner of our eyes

and touched the skin on our arms

with the smell of perfume,

dropped from the senses

onto our hands and knees

and felt the taste of a symphony,

glanced at the wind

gliding over our outstretched fingers.

A total sensory explosion,

dining on a succulent meal

of tactile motion, olfactory elation,

audio-visually supersonic.

Our fulfilled and satiated senses

strained and groaned over

the hot coals of sensual ecstasy

and we lived, we truly lived.
