Singing for Spring

A new magnifying glass,

spying from the wholesome air,

gliding high with time to spare,

falling slowly from the steeple

onto the carpet mass of people,

bringing birds right back to home,

the spring has begun its merry comb,

spreading its melody through the land

to cheer cold winter’s sullen band
