To be a wise man

He wanted to be a wise man,

but the world wouldn’t allow.

It kept holding him back

with a claw unlike any other.

The knowledge for which

he continuously strove

remained just out of reach,

but now what he retains

keeps him going on.

He is now wise enough to know

that to know everything is unwise.
