Breathe a breath

A hair’s breadth,

the thoughtful breath

keeping us alive,

a meditative moment

amongst the chaos of the day,

a voiceless whisper,

a dry desert throat

crying out for an oasis,

but receiving only a mirage,

hoping for a downpour

but receiving only a single drop.
