Forlorn

I fail to see the light
I see but darkness
black whole
nothing but harm and danger
everything but light and peace
to be touched by the tongue of the devil
used by the finger of fortune
the middle finger
gratified in the thought
that it will soon be over
no more feeling
no more thinking
no more holding onto failure
foregone, forlorn, foresaken
three strikes and you’re out
twice is just as nice
once more unto the beach
to throw your self to the tide
perishing in the waves
never to resurface.
